Your Heartbeat as a Website

Change the @ in your profile address to /as/ (h.ki/@handle becomes h.ki/as/handle) and Heartbeat shows its whole home page with only your moments and your tags, a site of your own to share; Heartbeat's pretty links, listed at h.ki/pretty-links, give vikis readable addresses like h.ki/chess.

To turn your heartbeat into a website of its own, change the @ in your profile's address to /as/: h.ki/@georgevanous becomes h.ki/as/georgevanous, and Heartbeat's whole home page appears with only that person's moments. George Vanous introduced it as a Christmas present to Heartbeat's creators in his Dec 23, 2024 video: "simply change the address of at horsemanship to slash as horsemanship and look what happens you get your own personal heartbeat". h.ki/about gives the same tip: "replace georgevanous with your Heartbeat handle".

How do I make my heartbeat a website?

  1. Find your handle: it is the part after @ on your profile, for example @georgevanous.
  2. Type h.ki/as/ and your handle without the @: h.ki/as/georgevanous.
  3. Share that address. Anyone can open it; no sign-in is needed to look.

There is nothing to switch on: the address works for any heartbeat with public moments.

What the page shows

Seen on Nov 7, 2026 at h.ki/as/georgevanous: Heartbeat's home page, with its sidebar and search, but every card in the grid is a moment by George Vanous, newest first ("Cool quick camera movement with hand", "Rest in peace Patrick Stewart" and so on), and the chips across the top are his own after All and Last 24 hours: "New World: Aeternum", "Superfavorites", "What is Heartbeat?", "Personal", "Life lessons". The tab's title is just "Heartbeat".

The tags follow the person too. Showing the heartbeat of Stunt Chicken, a creator he calls Heartbeat's "first super fan", George points out that "even the tags are your tags": the chips become that creator's own, such as "dog trick" and "old car". In the video he suggests using it to collect "your favorite family moments or your favorite movie moments or your favorite music" and share the one link.

We think this is the best way to hand someone a curated collection on Heartbeat. A profile at h.ki/@handle shows a person; h.ki/as/handle shows their taste, browsable by their own tags, and it reads as a small site rather than an account page. Its limit is the address: it always carries Heartbeat's domain and the /as/ path, with no way we could see to use a domain of your own.

A pretty link is a short, readable address for a viki. George's Apr 20, 2025 video opens on one: "if you type h.ki/pillory, you'll get this page which shows you the pillory as well as a video of how it works". Most vikis instead have an address made of an id starting vi.

All of them are listed on one page: "just type h.ki/pretty-links in the browser to see them". Seen on Nov 7, 2026, that page is itself a viki by George Vanous, "❤️ Heartbeat pretty links", grouped under headings such as About (h.ki/about), Great (h.ki/quality, h.ki/pillory, h.ki/music-in-fantasy, h.ki/talent, h.ki/chess), Popular (h.ki/movies, h.ki/shows, h.ki/women) and "Shows (full episodes)" (h.ki/farscape, h.ki/star-blazers, h.ki/he-man, h.ki/tv). Heartbeat's sitemap of pretty links listed 291 addresses that day.

The guides are pretty links too: h.ki/about, h.ki/how-to-heartbeat, h.ki/how-to-viki, h.ki/quality and h.ki/convert-youtube-shorts-to-videos (Turn a Short into a Video).

No public page says who can give a viki a pretty link. The pretty-linked vikis we opened were all George Vanous's, and the editor that would set one needs sign-in, so whether ordinary creators can choose one is unclear (Vikis).

Frequently asked questions

How do I see a heartbeat as a website?

Change h.ki/@handle to h.ki/as/handle. Heartbeat's home page then shows only that person's moments and tags.

Can anyone open my h.ki/as page?

Yes. It shows public moments, and it opened without sign-in on Nov 7, 2026.

A readable address for a viki, such as h.ki/chess or h.ki/pillory, instead of an id. The list is at h.ki/pretty-links.

Can I use my own domain?

Not that we could find. The address is always on h.ki.

What is heartbeat.me/@handle?

A shorter profile link: h.ki/about calls "heartbeat.me/@georgevanous" a way to say "Follow George's Heartbeat", and on Nov 7, 2026 it redirected to h.ki/@georgevanous.
