Heartbeat's privacy policy is the Freedom! Privacy Policy (last modified Feb 2, 2024), shared by Freedom! Family Limited's sites; it says Heartbeat collects only what it needs, does not sell data, signs you in with Google, reads profile, email and channel data through YouTube's API services, uses cookies, and is not for children under 13.

Heartbeat accounts use Google sign-in only, with no password of Heartbeat's own; signed out you can watch moments, read vikis, search and play riddles, trivia and tools, while saving moments, favorites, follows, comments and Heartbeat Photos need an account.

Timestamp bookmark extensions such as Timi, YouMark, YT Bookmarker and Timemark save private notes at a time in a YouTube video inside your browser; Heartbeat's extension saves a public moment with its own h.ki page that others can find, follow and collect. Bookmarkers win for private study notes, Heartbeat for sharing and collecting.

A Heartbeat moment is a saved start time in any YouTube video, made by anyone, with its own h.ki page, title and list; a YouTube Clip is a fixed 5 to 60 second loop made on YouTube, and chapters are the uploader's own. Clips win for a quick loop inside YouTube, moments for collecting, editing and finding highlights across videos.

The Heartbeat extension for Chrome lets you press H on any YouTube video to save a moment to your heartbeat, shows a Heart button that lists your moments, and shows a channel's Channel ID on YouTube. It is free, published by Freedom! Family Limited.

Heartbeat Fun (h.ki/fun/) holds Connect the dots, the Heartkeys typing race and Coin flip; Heartbeat Tools (h.ki/tool/) holds 19 small utilities, from a time zone planner and EMI loan calculator to microphone and speaker testers. Both are free in the browser.

Heartbeat Photos (h.ki/photos/) is Heartbeat's photo gallery, where hovering a thumbnail shows the full image without a click. Upload by drag and drop, share a gallery by its link, and drive it with keys such as T, V, C, I, H, R, Q, G H and G V.

A viki (video wiki) on Heartbeat is a written page whose timestamps play YouTube moments in a docked player beside the text, with images. Anyone signed in can write one with Create, Write a viki; all are listed at h.ki/vikis.

To make a Heartbeat moment, press H while watching a YouTube video with the Heartbeat extension, or open the video on h.ki and click "+ Moment"; then give it a meaningful title and nudge the start time to the exact frame.

Heartbeat says it pays creators monthly, by the 18th for the previous month, for quality content even if it gets no views, and more for views and watch time. Quality means meaningful titles, accurate start times and content you enjoy; bots are banned, AI help is allowed if you edit it.

Heartbeat's riddles (h.ki/riddles) and trivia (h.ki/trivia) are question cards you answer by typing, with hints that show the answer a letter at a time. Anyone signed in can publish their own; each question has its own page, h.ki/ri... or h.ki/tr....

Heartbeat has no documented API, but the JSON calls its own pages make under h.ki/api answer without sign-in; seven were seen on Nov 7, 2026 (a moment, a playlist's or viki's moments, a video's community moments, suggestions, comments, tags and a heartbeat's playlists), each wrapped in {"code":0,"data":{"objList":[...]}}.

Every Heartbeat tip in a sentence or two, from replacing "com" with "h.ki" and pressing H to save a moment to the ? key, h.ki/as/ and pretty links, each with a link to its full page.

To link to an exact moment on Heartbeat, save it as a moment and share its address, h.ki/ followed by its nine-character id (such as h.ki/morxesfsh), which opens the video at that start time; for a quick link without saving, add ?t= to a video page.

To open a YouTube video on Heartbeat, replace "com" with "h.ki" in its address, so www.youtube.com/watch?v=ID becomes www.youtube.h.ki/watch?v=ID, which redirects to h.ki/yoID; typing h.ki/yo and the id does the same.

To watch a YouTube Short as a normal video, replace "shorts" with "watch" in its address; Heartbeat's own pretty link h.ki/convert-youtube-shorts-to-videos teaches the trick, and a Short opened on Heartbeat can be moved with the toolbar's 2 and 10 second buttons.

Change the @ in your profile address to /as/ (h.ki/@handle becomes h.ki/as/handle) and Heartbeat shows its whole home page with only your moments and your tags, a site of your own to share; Heartbeat's pretty links, listed at h.ki/pretty-links, give vikis readable addresses like h.ki/chess.

Heartbeat began in August 2023 with Heartbeat Photos (Aug 3) and the Heartbeat Moments Chrome extension (Aug 18) at heartbeat.photos and heartbeat.love, moved to h.ki by November 2023, added Shorts, vikis, tools, riddles, trivia and pretty links through 2024 and 2025, and took over Freedom!'s .tm domains on Oct 1, 2024.

Heartbeat (h.ki) is a free site and Chrome extension for saving and sharing moments of YouTube videos, a start time with a title and its own page, with vikis, playlists, photos, riddles and trivia. This guide documents every feature for viewers and creators, with the moments that show each one.

Heartbeat lives at h.ki; heartbeat.me, heartbeat.love, heartbeat.music, heartbeat.lol, heartbeat.tips and heartbeat.photos redirect to it, while heartbeat.games, heartbeat.kids, heartbeat.pics and heartors.com served sites of their own when checked on Nov 7, 2026.

We think Heartbeat's next big steps are vikis that several people can edit and a way to meet people through the moments you share, while phone apps stay missing through 2027.

h.ki/creators is Heartbeat's directory of people, a grid of heartbeats with each one's avatar, name, follower count and a Follow button, sorted by Followers by default or by Moments or Last updated.

Heartbeat's search box opens h.ki/search?q= with matching moments and videos in two blocks, and Filters narrow them by date added (last hour to this year), type (Moment, Video, Heartbeat) and sort (date added, view count, favorite count).

Heartbeat's home page at h.ki is a row of topic chips over shelves of Shorts, vikis and the newest moments; the header has search, a three-dot menu with the dark theme switch and keyboard shortcuts, and Sign in, and the left sidebar links Vikis, Riddles, Trivia, Fun, Tools, Photos, Creators and My heartbeat.

On any Heartbeat player page, press ? for the full list of keyboard shortcuts; the main ones are k or Space to play or pause, d and a for the next and previous moment, j and l to jump 10 seconds, the arrows for 5 seconds, comma and period for single frames, h to save a moment and t for theater mode.

Every Heartbeat moment has its own page at h.ki/mo plus seven characters, with the YouTube video starting at the moment's second, its title and creator, Follow, a favorite heart, Share, comments, and the video's other moments in a docked list on the right.

A Heartbeat playlist, at h.ki/li plus seven characters, is a list of moments that can come from many YouTube videos, each starting at its own second; it shows as a chip on the home grid and in a video's moment list, and anyone signed in can make one.

A Heartbeat profile, called a heartbeat, is at h.ki/@handle, with tabs for Home, Favorites, Videos, Moments, Vikis, Playlists, Photos, Galleries, Following and About; heartbeat.me/@handle leads to it, and h.ki/as/handle shows Heartbeat with only that person's content.

Share on a Heartbeat moment page opens a "Share a moment" dialog with X, Facebook and Email buttons, a link to copy, and two switches, Moment title and Loop; Loop is on by default and adds ?play=loop to the link.

A Heartbeat video page, h.ki/yo followed by a YouTube video's 11-character id, opens that video at 0:00 with every moment people made in it, plus chapters Heartbeat imports from the video's description and from viewers' timestamp comments.
