Profiles

A Heartbeat profile, called a heartbeat, is at h.ki/@handle, with tabs for Home, Favorites, Videos, Moments, Vikis, Playlists, Photos, Galleries, Following and About; heartbeat.me/@handle leads to it, and h.ki/as/handle shows Heartbeat with only that person's content.

A Heartbeat profile is called a heartbeat, and it lives at h.ki/@ followed by the person's handle, such as h.ki/@georgevanous; in "Heartbeat features - No fluff" (Dec 25, 2023), George Vanous showed "how other people see your heartbeat", with a Follow button and tabs where they "can still see your favorites, all your moments and all the videos" you made moments for. In 2026 the tabs are Home, Favorites, Videos, Moments, Vikis, Playlists, Photos, Galleries, Following and About.

Heartbeat uses the word for the person's channel itself: "my heartbeat" is your own profile, "heartbeats I follow" are the people you follow, and "11 heartbeats" under a video counts the people who made moments in it. This page describes a profile as a signed-out visitor saw it on Nov 7, 2026.

The top of a profile

A heartbeat opens with a banner image, the person's avatar and name, the @handle, the follower count and the number of drafts (on Nov 7, 2026 George's showed "363 followers" and "5 drafts", and his About tab "20,799 moments"), the description, a Follow button, a second add-person button, and a three-dot menu.

The tabs

Tab Address What it holds
Home h.ki/@handle A featured moment, then shelves of Moments and Videos
Favorites /favorites Moments the person gave a heart (Moment Pages)
Videos /videos YouTube videos the person made moments in
Moments /moments The person's moments
Vikis /vikis Their vikis (Vikis)
Playlists /playlists Their playlists (Playlists)
Photos /photos Their public photos (Heartbeat Photos)
Galleries /galleries Their public photo galleries
Following /following The heartbeats they follow
About /about Description, "Joined" date, links

George's About tab, for example, read "Joined Aug 11, 2023" with links to YouTube and Freedom!.

Your own heartbeat is where your work collects: George showed going to h.ki, clicking "my heartbeat", then Moments to see every moment he had made, and Videos to "see only the videos that you've made moments for", where a moment could also be retitled or deleted. In an Oct 7, 2024 video he added that photos set to unlisted or private do not appear on the Photos tab.

Follow and add a friend

Follow needs a Google sign-in; after it, the person's moments show in your feed with everyone else you follow, and clicking the button again unfollows. The people you follow are listed in the sidebar under "Heartbeats I follow" (Home and Sidebar).

The second button adds a friend. In "Heartkeys is here! ❤️ Heartbeat" (May 31, 2025), George clicked "connect with Heartbeat" on a profile to add the person as a friend, and said you must first "create five favorite moments" before you can add friends, "to avoid spammers"; friends can then chat on Heartbeat. Chat and the friends list are not visible signed out, so we could not check them on Nov 7, 2026.

Your handle

The handle is the part after @. George's advice in the Dec 25, 2023 video: "make sure to reserve your handle so no one else takes it", from the edit button on your own heartbeat.

heartbeat.me/@handle

h.ki/about calls "Heartbeat Me" a verb that "means Follow my Heartbeat or Contact me on Heartbeat", and gives heartbeat.me/@georgevanous as "Follow George's Heartbeat". On Nov 7, 2026, heartbeat.me/@georgevanous redirected to h.ki/@georgevanous, keeping the handle, so a heartbeat.me link is a shorter-to-say way to point to the same profile (Heartbeat Domains).

h.ki/as/handle: Heartbeat as one person

h.ki/as/<handle> shows Heartbeat's home page with only that person's content. On Nov 7, 2026, h.ki/as/georgevanous showed the usual header and sidebar over a grid of George's own moments, every card his, under chips of his own (All, Last 24 hours, New World: Aeternum, Superfavorites, What is Heartbeat?, Personal, Life lessons) instead of the site's topics. h.ki/about suggests replacing "georgevanous" with your own handle; using it as your own site is covered in Your Heartbeat as a Website.

To get the link to your own heartbeat, George's Jan 1, 2024 video says to "go to h.ki and click my heartbeat", where people can see "your favorite moments and all the videos that you create moments for and all the photos" you upload, and to share it so others can follow you.

What we think

We think the tab list is where a heartbeat is most unlike a YouTube channel, and the Favorites tab in particular: on YouTube no one sees what you liked, while on Heartbeat your favorites are a public part of your profile, so following someone means following their taste, not only their uploads. That is the point (h.ki/about's stated goal is connecting strangers through shared moments), but it also means a heart is a public act, which a new user may not expect. h.ki/as/handle is the most distinctive of the three addresses: a whole site made only of one person's moments.
